Origins and Homeland
The Maganda People originally hailed from a lush and fertile land known as Lianaris. This vibrant region, rich in natural resources and beauty, served as the cradle of their civilization. The Maganda society was known for its harmonious relationship with nature, living as skilled hunter-gatherers and thriving in beautifully constructed villages that blended seamlessly with the environment.


During the tumultuous 4th era, Lianaris fell under the shadow of the Radamis Empire, an expansionist force with a reputation for ruthlessness. The invasion by the Radamis Empire was swift and brutal, leaving Lianaris in ruins. The once flourishing homeland of the Maganda People was reduced to a desolate wasteland, now referred to as modern-day Qura Island. The Empire's assault decimated the population, forcing the survivors into a desperate search for refuge.


The remnants of the Maganda People scattered, seeking safety wherever it could be found. Their plight did not go unnoticed, and the Marakai operatives, a group known for their clandestine aid and protection missions, took action. These operatives located the Maganda survivors and orchestrated a daring rescue mission. They guided the displaced people to an untouched and unknown land to the north of the Nexus.


With the help of the Marakai, the Maganda People established a new homeland in this virgin territory. They named this new land Nova Lianaris, in honour of their lost ancestral home. The Maganda People rebuilt their society with the same reverence for nature that characterized their original homeland. Their villages in Nova Lianaris were constructed with a focus on beauty and environmental harmony, maintaining their cultural identity and traditions.


The Maganda People are known for their resilience and pride. As hunter-gatherers, they rely on the land for sustenance, showing deep respect for the natural world. Their lifestyle reflects a profound understanding and reverence for the environment, ensuring that their practices are sustainable and in balance with nature.


Despite their peaceful disposition, the Maganda hold a deep-seated enmity towards the Radamis Empire, whose invasion brought such devastation to their people. This historical trauma has fostered a collective memory that fuels their disdain for the Empire.


The Marakai operatives who rescued the Maganda People are held in the highest esteem. To honour their saviours, the Maganda have erected statues of the Marakai in every village and town across Nova Lianaris. These statues are not only a testament to the gratitude of the Maganda People but also serve as a reminder of the resilience and solidarity that allowed them to survive and rebuild.


Each statue is a unique work of art, often depicting scenes of the Marakai rescuing the Maganda, symbolizing hope and salvation. These monuments are central to community life, often serving as focal points for gatherings and celebrations.
