Ocean Scrag are the distant cousins of the Land Scrag, a frog-like walking land creature. The ocean variant is a large aquatic beast that can only be found in the Anarkis ocean. Although they appear similar to the Globis, of which they share an ocean, they do in fact, belong to separate biological families.



The Globis with its large face and dual sets of eyes that are smaller than the scrag, is easier to distinguish, while morphological differences are more difficult to spot from a reasonable distance.



The most obvious external differences are visible on the head, with Ocean Scrags having wider and larger eyes that are both brighter, and able to see further. In addition the eyes are less dense and match the overall
playful and friendly demeanour of Ocean Scrag. Another major difference is in the evolution of a form of sonar that the Ocean Scrag uses to communicate and warn of apparent dangers. It is believed that this developed due to its relative position in the ocean as prey rather than predator.



Ocean Scrags are considered a delicacy by many of the inhabitants of Anarkand. High-society seems to deem these creatures as a bit of a luxury food, which is mainly due to how difficult it is to catch them, and what it takes to keep them alive outside of water.
